Best and Worst

I have a question for students, alumnae, and parents:

What are the best and worst aspects of living and learning at Pace?

I Don’t live at Pace, I am a comuter

But

Good:
-Classes seem to be nice and quiet
-75% of the classes are good sizes (20-30 students)
-There are some VERY good professors ( I reccoment people like Deniro)
-Everyone seems to be nice to one another
-Very diverse in the NYC campus
-Dorms are right in the building so you can’t be late
-Free $30 for printing
-Pace WILL help you get a job right after college
-GREAT interships
-A LOT of extracirular activites

Bad:
-Dorms are VERY Small in NYC
-Food could be better
-Some classes are HUGE
-Pace is more expensive

BUT I gotta say your Experience at Pace is what you make out of it. Whether you commute or dorm you could be social and get to love the school or stay quiet and hate it.

Good:
The Farm and the English 101 offered there…
Taxation taught by the Regional Director of IRS
Great professors taught in Business Classes especially Accounting
The intern opportunity in downtown Manhattan
The free bus ride to Manhattan

Bad:
Food in NYC (I cooked for myself most of the time)
Office like on NYC campus
The Marketing Class

From Class 1975 point of view
:)

artlover, “1975” - don’t you think things may have changed between then and now? You are living in the past, my friend.

The op asked for it.

“some” of my experiences are still relevant

Didn’t you see the smiling face at the end?

Ok this is for all the posts here because you guys are asking almost the same things. Here is pace for u…
1.Pace overall-good school, diversed,a bit pricey but hey its a private college.Students are open.Professors are good(some easy, some not).Pace has one of the biggest coop program so internship and career-wise you are set, just maintain a good gpa.
2.Pace schools-From what i heard nursing and education are good, the other ones are decent. No ****ty programs whatsoever.Lubin is the best.Especially accounting+masters accounting.Professors very good plus top firms recruit here all the time.
3.The only bad factor-sigh sigh sigh…Financial aid.Yes they give you nice packages but in your four+ years you will get some kind of problem with financial aid…Trust me…Its nerve wracking
4.Graduate stuff-Part time MBA is one of the best in nation.Environmental law is number 3 and 4 in the nation(yes its even above harvard and yale).
5.My opinion-Pace rules.I would never transfer out unless money problem or I would move to another state.
