<p>I was just wondering what the best art colleges were for illustration. So far I've been accepted to SVA,Parsons,Pratt,SAIC and still waiting for RISD and etc.</p>

<p>I think one you're still waiting to hear from (RISD) is probably best, but any one of the others you've already been admitted to might be very good for you depending on your particular interests, where you want to live, and so on. Congratulations on having several really good options.</p>

SVA, SAIC and RISD.</p>

RISD = rhode island school of design
SIAC = School of the Art Institute of Chicago</p>

<p>sva and parsons are known for illustration the rest are better known for fineart/painting</p>
<p>My understanding is that RISD has the strongest illustration program of all the schools mentioned. RISD is about equally well known for design and other applied arts as it is for fineart/painting; and both aspects of RISD's program are very strong. The other schools, however, are also very good in particular fields. For example, a nephew of mine just graduated from Parsons in illustration, and he got excellent training there.</p>
<p>well i doubt ill get into risd, i just want to know if parsons still has a good reputation for illustration...or at least as good as SVAs</p>
