<p>Anyone have any recommendations for bikes at UVA? I got placed into Gooch/Dillard and it's basically isolated from everything haha.</p>
<p>Trek mountain track. I have a model from the late 90s I bought used and it has not given me any problems.</p>
<p>Used is a great idea. Not only is it cheaper, but it will make you less of a target for theft. I got a new bike second year and had my back tire stolen one weekend even though the bike was locked up.</p>
<p>Ha plue00 I’m also in Gooch/Dillard. I’m trying to bring my 4 year old bike, once I see if it still fits me.</p>
<p>I just wanted to say my D loved being in Gooch this past year - it was a great community, near 2 great dining halls, close to the stadium and AFC and not far from everything as it may seem. :)</p>
<p>Some people buy really nice bikes - and then spray paint them so they look like crap so amateur thieves don’t think they are worth anything.</p>
