I've never taken the ACT; I plan to take it in June.

I'm just taking it to see how well I do compared to the SAT (score is ~2000-2100).

I've heard the Real ACT Prep Guide, Barron's, and Princeton Review. Which is the best one?

I'd rather not get two books, but I'll do so if necessary.

Thanks.

the real act book should be good.. its from the test maker. and the barrons book too.

There have been a lot of negative reviews on the barron's book. Definitely get the Real ACT Guide though.

Does the Real ACT Guide have good strategies, or is it only valued for its practice tests?

The Princeton Review for ACT helped me immensely - and it also sufficed as my SAT prep :) I don't know much about the other books, but, based upon my experience, I HIGHLY recommend Princeton Review!!!!!!

Just grab as many ACT prep books(except barrons) as u can, and do the practice tests in the back. Practice makes perfect.

I never used any instructions from the books, and I did well(34). And remember to always read the reading section lol

So is barrons only bad for ACT prep but not SAT.
