Best books to use?

I have the Real ACT study guide (Red book).

Should I be using anything else?

People keep suggesting Barrons, but which one are they talking about? The regular one? or Barrons ACT 36?

I hear Kaplan and PR stink. I have them for SAT and they suck as well.

For SAT I have been using blue book and Barrons 2400.

Any advice?

I'm clueless...

I’ve raised my score from a 21 to a 29. I suggest Princeton Review + Barron’s. Barron’s 36 is a BRAND new book. So, unless they said Barron’s 36, they mean the regular Barron’s ACT prep book.

I say stick with the real act book. The other ones I’ve noticed seem just a bit off from what the real act book has. The questions are similar but not exactly the same styles or anything.

I used Red Book and Barron’s ACT (not 36) and I got a 33 on the first test I took. Barron’s has higher difficulty but it makes the real test seem easy, so I recommend it. However, that doesn’t necessarily work for everyone so PR is the closest test to the real ones.

Yes, do not get barron’s expecting realistic, ACT-like practice tests. Get barron’s for extremly difficult practice tests that challenge your knowledge.

Princeton Review totally, totally sucks. It seems to cover very little information and felt much easier than the real ACT practice tests (and real ACT) that I took.
