So I just got my SAT Subject scores from October and I did pretty poorly (650 Chem, 690 Math). I didn't study for any of these tests so I am hoping I can get both up above 700. I was wondering which is the best book to use? I need one that can prepare me well over the course of a month. (December Test)

Chem - Barrons
its really good in my opinion.

Math - no cluee......Barrons sucks ass......will have to wait and see how i do

that's encouragement. my IIC is in about 30 hours and I prepped from barron's.

Barrons is horrible for Math II. I've just barely glanced at the Princeton Review Math II book, but it looked a lot more realistic.

I think that Sparknotes is the closest to the real thing in Chem. Just my opinion though.

Princeton review for chem is pretty good, too.

now i'm really getting freaked out. has anyone done horribly after using barron's? or is it "bad" just coz it isnt a good predictor, and it overpreps? overpepping cant be all that bad, can it?

No... if you've already prepared using it then theres no prob. In fact you're probably better off than the rest as barrons would have totally over prepared you.

just got back from the testing center. dont think i did so well.....:-(

if you can solve pretty much any problems in barrons then you are likely to get high scores in actual tests..

not unless you consider 660-680 a high score!
