I am going into my Junior year in the fall and will be taking the PSAT in October. (I am the class of 2017). I got a 184 on them when I took them last October, but that was with no preparation. I live in Maryland and want to get the National Merit (which was a 222 last year I believe). What is the best way to study for this and achieve such a score jump? Any suggestions on which books to use? (i.e. Barrons, Kaplan, Princeton Review)
Thanks!
I was going to ask the same question. The blue book obviously will have the most realistic practice tests, but we want a book that actually teaches the contents or at least gives very detailed answers to the questions and I don’t think the blue book does that. I was looking on Amazon and Princeton Review, Kaplan, Barron’s and Ivy Global seem to be the only options right now. I think we will just go to Barnes and Noble and pick a couple by skimming them. They are all too new to get much info on how good they are.
Not a book, but you know about Khan Academy don’t you?
Yeah. I ordered te Kaplan and and Barron’s books based on what I found online. I’ll let you know how those are once they come in.
@polarizes
That book has the exact same tests that you can download and print for free on Khan Academy.
I’m receiving mine from CB on Tuesday, the day of its release.
