Best Books

It's been such a long time since I read a really good book... I normally stick to classics but I love Chances by Jackie Collins, Bernard Werber's and Katherine Pancol's books. I doubt anyone here know them but they're French authors and their books are really good. I don't usually like fantasy novels, but Philip Pullman's books are great. But I really loved Jerry Spinelli's books and Harry Potter when I was younger.

To Kill A Mockingbird... i loved it... it was funny and entertaining and very hard to put down.

Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card

Read it.

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

Truman Capote's In Cold Blood is a must!

Any book written by Paulo Coelho

Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. Saving Milly by Morton Kondracke. Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. What Dreams May Come by Richard Matheson. Roots by Alex Haley. HP, for sure. These are some of my favorites. :)

My favorites (altho not very intellectual, but) are HP Series, Twilight Series, Wicked (and anything by Gregory Maguire).. Hmm. Any guesses which genre I like? Haha. I love fantasy.
I also loved The Pelican Brief and a few others by John Grisham.. Oh && Hamlet is really good too, its my favorite Shakespeare play.

Middlesex made me cry.... just finished it a few days ago, highly recommend it.

Best book in the universe: The Blind Assassin, by Margaret Atwood, also known as God.

"The Road" by Cormac McCarthy-- its a haunting tale about a father and son in a post apocolyptic journey; a must read.

"Fifth Business" by Robertson Davies, about a Canadian college professor who fulfills the title role in the narrative.

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll

It's my favorite book, hands down.

Avatar: the Last Air bender ...all 3 books are amazing...the cartoon was phenomenal

The Watsons Go to Birmingham - 1963

Take no more calls, we have a winner.

paul09 I totally agree! In Cold Blood was spectacular and made me question a lot of my earlier feelings about the characters, since it was a true story.

The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton is GREAT, although if you are just a skimmer it won't do much. She's pretty detailed, but it's actually interesting details. I truly felt like I'd gotten a glimpse into someone else's life, like a fly on the wall or something.

Any and all things STEINBECK.

Also Gone With the Wind.
