Best Business Minors...

What's the best minor to do along with a business major? And it can't be another business minor.

And hopefully the economy rebounds...I plan on staying as a business major.

depends what you want to do,

if your majoring in finance, and it has to be a non-business minor, statistics, math, econ.

anything else beats me

Sounds good. Minors shouldn't matter too much but it's required in my business school and it's not bad to gain that extra knowledge.

I'm planning on majoring in accounting and minoring (possibly double majoring) in philosophy.

A major foreign language is very good to know. Chinese, German, French, Japanese, or one of the major languages of India.

I got German down and I got 2 major languages in India down.

But I am pretty sure I won't do a minor in a foreign language.

More like stats, math, etc.

Stats can be very useful in some areas like market research and manufacturing. Congrats on the languages--very useful in some areas.

Haha thank you. Figured they were pretty unique so I went for it.
India=Huge economic growth, great potential
Germany=Third largest economy in the world yet very slow economic growth.
I'm still a second year but I definitely want to learn another language before I graduate to expand my horizon.

Yeah career-wise, I am definitely interested in Financial or Economic Analysis. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to get there and be prepared for it!

for finance, i would def do math if you can handle it. Marketing, math or stat, accouting, maybe Comp sci for Accounting info systems?

Depending on your interests, math or a foreign language would be advantageous.

At Wisconsin the real estate majors have an annual trip to Germany so knowing German would be great for getting contacts. I'm sure other schools have similar programs.
