Best Campus Jobs?

What are the most high-paying campus jobs that require the least amount of work? I know it sounds bad but hey, we're all humans, right? Actually I'd rather take a lower paying job that allows me to do my homework while I'm working. So besides being a clerk, what else can I do? Also when is the best time to apply?

Any inputs would be appreciated.

paid psych experiments sound like a good idea

Should I work the first semester if im going to do marching band?

huh?? isn't that a bit of a load?? marching band + job + homework???

If you're going to do marching band, your first few weeks of school will be hell. Don't even think about a job until you're done with all that stuff.

Personally, I plan on working in the math lab (not sure if I wanna do normal mathlab, or the one in the athletic academic building). Pays pretty well, apparently you have time to do homework, and the people who are in the classes that I'll get the most hw from will be there, too.

Is $10/hr a pretty good number? I just want a job that lets me do my hw.

I think that's about standard pay for student jobs.

I second the no job + band + homework. Too much stress and scheduling the timing between band and a job is too much of a hassel. There was no way I was doing that first semester and that was with just 3 classes plus band, which most first years do who are in band because it is that intensive.

I heard that the dorm food servers get pretty good money. Are you willing to do that?

I agree, take it easy at first.

How about 13 credits (Calc III, Chem, Engr 101) + UROP + workstudy job? Does that sound manageable for a 1st year student?
