in your opininon, which boarding school has the best architecture,
grounds, setting, etc?

Loomis Chaffee

Take a look at this thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-admissions/216547-most-beautiful-campus-academics.html?highlight=most+beautiful+campus

st. georges by far

St. Paul's for suree

the Berkshire school has a beautiful campus as well

Deerfield
St. George's
St. Paul's
Hotchiss
Andover

burbparent checks in with pictures of Blair in 3,2,1...

Of the schools I know, St. Paul's, Andover, Hotckhiss, and St. George's are the ones that come to mind.

fif forgot to list Lawrenceville -- ridiculously beautiful.
The Circle was designed by this little known guy named Olmstead.

oh deffinatly Exeter

..and tabor

exeter and loomis are nice. different, but nice none the less.

Tabor: great setting, Marion is lovely. Campus not so much...

Did you all forget Kent? (Add Kent to list.)

NMH, of course. I think Deerfield is in a lovely setting (the Historic village of Deerfield); the actual campus doesn't do so much for me. SPS is also pretty.
The quad at Loomis was very nice.

um, taft and tabor and berkshire

I applied to all the big names which were talked about here so far (SPS, Andover and Exeter) but I really found Groton to be a beautiful place. But all of my schools were amazing (Hotchkiss, Taft, SPS, Andover, Exeter, Choate, Milton and Groton) and they all have beautiful abudant lawns and historic and impressive buildings etc.

Both the Deerfield campus (science center is state of the art) and Historic village are spectacular.

i visited SPS and found its campus to be cold and not very inviting (but i also saw it in the winter). i recently visited miss porter's school and fell in love with it! the campus is gorgeous becuase most of the buildings are all converted buildings (hotels, private homes, ect.) it was also kinda rural but only a short walk from a quaint new england town. i loved everything about it!

Blair- check out the pics on the website.
