Rick, those are the numbers. (Sorry if your whole world is crashing down around you right now. ;)) But really, that passive aggressive tone of yours probably says more about you than it does about me. You're like twice my age man, shouldn't you be setting an example for the rest of us?

Actually Rick Tyler, stats show that Montreal is THE #1 mulitcultural city in the entire world, followed by Toronto. Canada is terrible, face it. Although L.A. is pretty bad too I hear.

Uh, it depends what you mean by multicultural. In matters of foreign born citizens, Toronto is much higher as the document nauru linked shows. Though when it comes to 2 major populations with distinct languages and institutions in one city, Montreal is hard to beat.

Prefer to go to UBC Vancouver. But alas, I am not offered a place. I knew the chances were slim. Most likely I will not accept the UBC Okanagan offer.

Some one told me to go attend Columbia College (also in Vancouver) http://www.columbiacollege.ca/aboutus/location.php
for 1 yr and then transfer. Most likely can enter 2nd Yr @ UBC if GPA standard is met.

Attend Langara College transfer program if he wants to transfer to UBC later.

Or apply to SFU<<quite prestigious nationwide as well.

I never found U of T cold or impersonal either. In fact I loved it. I didn't want to graduate. Yes, Toronto is amazing city: broadway shows, the Toronto film festival, plus several other smaller ones, lounges, more clubs per capita than NYC, museums, the beaches. As for campus life join a student club there are dozens to choose from. that will make acclimating a lot easier.
I had no large classes except international relations. Maybe 125 students but I liked it because of the diversity of opinions from the students in the class from all over the world. That's one advantage no one talks about with large class sizes. Just one tip CJK, if you're into the Toronto nightlife try to be a 416er NOT a 905er. You will figure this one out by yourself if you matriculate into the university.

cheers,

Is Langara College a place to be if one wanted to transfer to UBC Sauder?
anyone know the stats?
