<p>What universities or colleges would be recommended for this concentration? I know Vassar, Duke and some Ivies would have them, but they're far reaches for me. I can read classical Chinese, so the courses don't necessarily have to all be taught using translated text. Thanks.</p>

<p>In any case, you can look into Ohio State, Chicago and of course (selling my own school) UCLA.</p>
<p>I have no idea what your foundations are, but I study chinese as a native language, graduated from a chinese studies department for my BA and MA, have written about grammaticalization of classical chinese into modern chinese as a masters thesis, and I still do not dare proclaim I can read classical chinese........</p>
