What is the best class you ever took/ have taken so far at your college? Why? What made it memorable or meaningful to you? Is it something you use in everyday life? Was it for your major/minor or just for fun?

I think the best class I've taken so far (as a second semester freshman) has been my Writing class. I'm sure I'll encounter better classes up the road, but I really enjoyed our theme "Dangerous Domesticies" (i.e. same sex marriage, inter-racial relationships, polygamy, relationships deemed "unsafe" or "bad" by society at some point). Many of the essay prompts allowed me the freedom to write about things I really wanted to and find my voice and interests.

At my university: "Introduction to the English Language" sparked an interest in linguistics and language as opposed to literature.

Abroad: Sociolingüistica Andaluza - it really made me understand the culture I was living in when studying in Seville. And the professor was wonderful.

History at SUNY Plattsburgh. My professor was amazing, I never cared for history before but she made it fascinating.

I had to take a second history course at Fordham LC...among one of the most boring classes I've ever had the displeasure to stare at a clock through.

Organic Chemistry 2nd semester. It was taught by a recent postdoc who could explain things in far greater detail and far more comprehensively than the first semester's professor (who happened to be editor of the JACS and former dean of the college).

But I'm just gay for chemistry, don't take that seriously.
