<p>Del Mar is its own city, LJ wanted to have the same status as DM but doesnt.</p>

<p>Haha, you're going to rate San Diego State over USD? That's an absolute joke. USD is a far better than San Diego State. USD is probably the best school in San Diego in terms of Business and Law as well.</p>

<p>HAHA, vicissitudes.... you better re-check that. UCSD is in the middle of La Jolla which is part of the City of San Diego. Not just the county of San Diego, but also the city of San Diego. La Jolla is not its own city, it is part of the city of San Diego. Do some research before posting things you obviously dont know. UCSD is 10-12 minutes max freeway ride from Downtown San Diego also, i make the commute every day. haha where did you get 30 minutes... r u kidding me?</p>

<li> Clearly UCSD</li>
<li> USD</li>
<li> SDSU
Personally i like usd over sdsu, but an argument could be made for either school to be number 2 in san diego. USD does not however have the best business school in SD. For now that is likely SDSU, but UCSD will likely soon surpass them as their business school just opened this year. For law USD is the best law school, as UCSD does not have a law school, and USD's only competition in SD is Cal-Western and to a lesser extent Thomas Jefferson.</li>
