Best CR book

whats the best ciritical reading book out there now (for the new sat)?

10 Real SAT and the New SAT Official Guide with 8 practice tests.

any more input

i don't know, to tell you the true, i would like to know too

I don't know how useful the 10 Real Sat book will be for the new verbal, using it sure couldn't hurt though; your dexterity will still improve. The Official SAT Study Guide is probably a safe bet, Princeton Review's 11 Practice Tests looks good too. You should probably get those to familiarize yourself with the new test.

I love kaplan's workbook. practice problems = friends.

anyone try kaplan's critical reading workbook?

i used the new sat study guide and so far my practice CR scores have went up 10 raw points after 2 tests. it also helps if ur in an ap english class where its somewhat similar (- the sentence completing, + the difficulty)

math is no problem though :)

I did kaplans CR workbook (see above post...). It was excellent. I used it for the PSAT but I improvedlike 6 points just off of that (67 -> 73) and using like 1/3 of it in 2 dyas.

I didn't like Kaplan. It had GREAT strategies but the practice tests didn't seem like the ones that College Board gave in their book and the CB's is obviously going to be more accurate.
