Best dorms/areas on campus at JMU?

I am transferring to James Madison University this fall as a sophomore. I will be living on campus. I have to rate my campus area preferences on the housing application. I don't know much about the dorms or the areas of campus so I need some help. Here's a list of the areas on campus/dorms that I have to choose from...

Bluestone Area: Converse, Logan
Lake Area: Chandler
Skyline Area: Chesapeake, Rockingham, Shenandoah
Village: Frederikson, White

Rank these areas in order from the best area to the worst. Any additional information you have about the dorms would be appreciated!

I lived in Chandler. It is right next to the business school, but it’s set up kind of weird. The bottom floor has bathrooms in the rooms, the second and third floors do not and have hall style bathrooms. There is not A/C on the second/ third floor-I don’t think there was any on the first either-but I’m not sure. There is also a dining hall in the building.

Bluestone is on the quad. This is nice for BA seekers. Usually the dorms have A/C and are renovated-they are usually the hardest dorms to get.

Skyline is on east campus. The dorms are beautiful and have A/C. This area is a huge pain though unless you’re a science major (Bluestone would be a pain if you were a science major not taking gen eds too)

Village “suite style” six people/three rooms to a suite. No A/C but they are smack in the middle of campus-so not a bad location if you have a lot of geneds-and it will be easier to make friends with your suite mates.

Rockingham is another upperclassman dorm which is an old motel purchased by JMU…I’m not sure why it is not on your list.

Also, most people with on-campus housing for next year already picked out their dorm areas
