or some combination with information systems since that is a 'desirable' major...

Pre-med is not a major.

I know that. But I guess I should have clarified. **Best combo in college

The best combo is a combo of things you like and want to know and do.

Why complicate it more than that? Not many college grads are doing what they went to,school for unless they got a professional degree anyway.

If you’re talking about the best in terms of money - go pre-med then medical school and become a surgeon, or take finance and accounting then get all your certifications and go work for Ameriprise or someone until you can open your own franchise. It’s really hard to say.

Acc./Finance is a solid major. get good grades, good internships, take your CPA/CFA, network A LOT and you should be golden.

Be flexible - don’t decide on double majors immediately. Certainly adding Applied Math or a Computer related (or evan a major, like English Lit, that helps improve writing skills) major or minor to finance or economics can be a help - but would be crazy to decide this before you have taken the introductory courses in those fields and without finding out what courses you are passionate about.

“About 80 percent of students in the United States end up changing their major at least once, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. On average, college students change their major at least three times over the course of their college career.”
