For you football fans, i was having a debate at school on this. Thought I’d put it on here.

my picks (in order)

Favre- 2nd best in stats (for now). Most MVPs. Won a Superbowl.

Young- Backup most his career. But shined when put on.

Montana- Didn’t have the stats as Favre and Marino, but he won 4 titles.

Unitas- Revolutionized QB position.

Marino- As of now, 1st best in stats. But no Superbowl.

Petyon Manning is close and going to break all of Marino's records, but I wouldn't put either of them in the top 5. Also, I don't see how Brady is going to drop from the top 5 in anyone's list of greatest quarterbacks ever.

"Petyon Manning is close and going to break all of Marino's records"

why do people think this.

do you know how many seasons he's had over 30 TDs? 1. that was his 49 season. 1 in 8 years of playing ain't gonna get many records. add that to the fact he's gonna lose his pro bowl RB.

favre has done it a record 8 times. Favre is gonna break marinos TD record, and completion record and win record next season if he keeps his career pace.

only record mannings gonna get is maybe most career playoff loses.

Football is a team sport. The ultimate factor in determining how good a quarterback is should be how many championships he leads his team to.

Tom Brady may not have the statistics that some of the other quarterback do - but he does lead his team to Super Bowls wins.

Dan Marino and Peyton Manning have great individual stats but they fall short when it comes to winning the big games.

I would take Joe Montana or Tom Brady anyday. BTW packerfan22, Bart Starr may have been before you time, but he belongs on the list with Montana and Brady.

"I agree Brady's numbers don't necessarily scare you, but right now in a playoff game who would you rather have as your QB?"

Right now? Jake Delhomme FTMFW.
I don't care how the season ended for him against the Seahawks, up until then he had one of the best QB ratings in history (was it the best?) throughout the playoffs.

Brady is a good QB because he makes the right plays in Bellicheck's system. I think he's good because he does what he has to do to win the game.

Personally, Montana and Elway are tops for me but I think Bradshaw should get a little love in this ranking also...
