<p>how does dorm selection go? If you can chose, which ones are the best?</p>
<p>Certain dorms are for specialties. Scholars, Honors and Gemstone.</p>
<p>Certain dorms will be upper classman.</p>
<p>AS an incoming freshman you have no points and if you are not in a specialty you get the bottom of the barrel...HELLO EASTON!</p>
<p>For freshman none of them are great.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, you don't get to choose. They will assign you to a dorm.</p>
<p>If you're lucky, they'll place you in La Plata. It's one of the three high rise buildings next to the diner and it has air conditioning. Unfortunately, only 1 of its 9 floors is reserved for freshmen. The rest of the building is occupied by sophomores.</p>
