Best IN CLASS SAT prep courses???

What are the best SAT prep courses?? I've heard of Kaplan and heard it wasn't so good... I signed up for test masters but unfortunately they cancelled it because there weren't enough people signed up...

I've heard of Karen dillard prep, and if there isn't anytbing better - I'll be taking that...

Anyone have any recommendations?? I'm located in north/ north east Texas.

I am looking for IN CLASS / on site courses - I will be studying on my own but I still think an SAT class will be helpful at least a LITTLE.

I was actually going to apply to Kaplan, however I tend to do a bit of review research before I actually pay for a serivce/item…

I’d recommend the Online SAT Prep Course though :)

My parents are really those old school types who think in-class is better than online, and I think it a degree they may be right… But… I haven’t eliminated that idea completely yet. Thanks for the reply!

@LifeAsWeKnowWeIt‌ How does 1:1 tutor sound? It’s probably the most expensive of all, but you can focus in a peaceful environment (judging from past experiences, kids who are in the same class as you tend to talk alot or maybe a distraction)

If you must do in-class prep, none of the big name shops do a good job (Kaplan, Princeton Review, Sylvan, etc). Teacher quality is bad, prep material is bad, all around bad.

If you live near a city, local shops usually have better teachers and better reputation at your school. Ask seniors at your high school who got into top schools how they prepped.

Like medicsz said online sat prep is better these days. Search online sat prep and see which ones you like.

Tutoring, that’s also something I’ll keep in mind… Not sure if there are reputable tutors around - well I mean I’m sure there are but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to find one.

I’ve also heard big name companies aren’t the best, but I don’t exactly trust smaller local places either… I mean if they were good, surely they’ll be well known around the area or have good reviews? I have yet to find one out… I might just go to the Karen dillard… Or an online test masters… If I choose to do online

If you do online, check out wyzant and tutors.com and maybe other big tutoring sites. They have plenty of people who specialize in SATs and many of those get excellent reviews.
