Over-the-Ear headphones for chilling in my dorm, preferably something with decent bass, and not too much leakage as to disturb my roommate. Price range: ~$150.00

In-Ear headphones for walking around campus. Again, heavy bass would be nice. Price range: ~$50.00

i have the klipsch image s4, which are in-ear, and they run for about $80. they’re pretty great though. they also have the image s2, which are $50, so you should look into those.

I’d recommend the Sleek Audio SA6 earphones. Terrific sound quality, and the earphone wires are detachable so if your wire snaps somewhere, you can simply replace the wire and not the earphones themselves.

I’m more of a portable person so I know very little of not really portable over the ear headphones, but if one of the usual suspects for about $150 for a portable well isolating, good sounding over the ear headphone, would be the sennheiser hd 25-1 II. Don’t trust anyone who says sennheiser all the way… sennheiser has many hits and misses, just like other companies. user_007 probably has bought like one headphone his entire life lol

for portable in ear phones, $50 is perfect for the brainwavz M2, found on MP4nation although since its out of stock now, you have to find it on ebay from a reseller. its one of the highest bang/buck iems you can find nowadays. reputable reviewers on some audio forums have it rated much higher than the klipsch s4 and sleek sa6, both of which also impressed when they came out, but have long since fallen in stature, as they’re old

im also kind of confused with how you say youre looking for “decent bass” and “heavy bass”
good bass isn’t always heavy :P

Personally I have Ultrasone HFI-780s. Definitely a bass presence in them, not overwhelmingly so but definitely possible to feel. Slightly over your price range though ($155 on amazon). However burn-in is required for these, as they start out sounding pretty painful in the highs but after 24 hours of so of burn-in (playing music/sounds that cover a variety of frequencies) they start being suitable for use.

Happy with my Klipsch S4 in-ears for on-the-go use.

At home, you can’t beat the price-performance ratio of [Grado Labs](http://www.gradolabs.com). The SR-80s make you forget you’re listening to headphones, for $100 flat.

Grado Prestige Series SR80i as an over-the-ear choice at $100(I know they have leakage, but I’m not sure how much as I’ve never heard anybody else use a pair of Grado headphones). I can’t offer any advice on in-ear monitors at that price range… not because of sound quality, but discomfort and fatigue.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 or Shure SRH-750 DJ. They both have great bass, no leakage at reasonable sound levels, and they are much better than Sennheisers in the price range.

For in-ears, I’d recommend Brainwavz M2 or Thinksound TS-01.
