what kinda headphones y'all have?

today just bought some new ones, they go right in the ear (a special type of earbud), and in addition to having very good bass, it muffles out outside sound extremely well (a double edged sword, i can tune out the idiot freshmen on my bus, but i can't hear ppl sneaking up on me, etc.)

what about y'all?

ah what kind are they, camp? I really like the Sony MDR-EX71SL in-ear phones - great bass and response over a wide range of frequencies. Only $33 on amazon, too - not bad.

As far as over-ear headphones go, I'm still and audiophile music snob, so I go with nice Bose phones.

Bose are expensive and good. I'm looking for new headphones too. What's a good one that doesn't let sound escape so I can blast music and no one else can hear it.

the ones that i got are pretty damn good for tuning out outside sound, so i would think that they are good for not letting sound escape too... i suppose

they are called: huh, i think they're the exact same ones that u posted icarus... except i paid around 7 bucks more... meh (but keep in mind shipping costs i guess)

Just your basic, huge, $5 headphones from walmart. :p

I've got Sony MDR-V600 headphones. They are really awesome headphones, however they did set me back about $89 bucks. Only reason you would ever need headphones like that is if you are doing DJing work, which is why I got them.

Yeah the Sony Studio Monitor line is pretty good.

SHURE E3C

Sony Mdx or something.

15$ sony earbuds

Shure makes headphones? I've never seen a pair from them before. I suspose it's not a huge shock, their mics are industry standard so I guess it'd make sense if they made headphones.

yeah - nice expensive ones at that. I've never used or heard their headphones, but I'm sure they're good. I was a sound tech throughout high school as one of my many hobbies, and I used the Shure UHF dual receiver setup a lot with SM58 mics. Beautiful I tell you. Flawless sound.

Give me a few QSC amps, JBL speakers and a sub, Makie soundboard, Shure mics, and a band, and we can put on a show :)

Sennheiser HD497. Good open-air, supra-aural headphone for the price. I would like a pair of canal phones such as the Shure E2C or the Etymotics ER6 as well...
And Bose is overpriced, though not necessarily bad.

Icarus, I was the sound (and typically video) tech at my High School as well, and like you it is one of my hobbies. I also worked at the local Six Flags park for a year running sound, which was a very cool job. I got to use some very powerful and expensive equipment...

At my High School we were actually running off of QSC Amps, with JBL speakers (those 120 pound speakers were always a blast to move aroud!), and a (several of them actually) good old Shure SM-58. Never could seem to convince the school tio buy me a mixing board, but we made do.

My friend just got the new Bose headphones for his birthday. His parents said it was from EVERYBODY (cost $300). He said they're awesome. I was wondering if anybody else got those. Me? Just regular 10 buck ones.

This has got to be the coolest thread on CC!

I have just a simple Rs. 180 Sony headphone which I bought 5 years ago. (Rs 44 = $1 !!). I also got this new Plantronics LS1 headset yesterday. Both are consumer level, I know, and I've been waiting for the day I'll own a Seinnheiser HD650!!!!

Bose I don't like even though I haven't heard em before. To me bose sounds more like gucci than sennheiser.....

You know I used Sennheiser headphones for a little while, but they were farily broken so that only last a few weeks. Honestly I'm not a big fan of sennheiser, I just have never liked their equipment that much.

i tested out those ones that i got to see how well they muffled osund out on the bus and they work like a charm

i could hardly hear the loud cacophony of immature kids screaming and the roar of the engine... beautiful.

I cried, with tears of joy.

bose or sennheiser?

I use Bose headphones. They are amazing for the music I listen to.

the koss portapro 2, the headphones i used before these inside the ear ones, they were pretty good too, and cost only around 30 at circuit city (i bought em for 50)
