I'm signed up for the june text and I need to get some last second prep in. I took the test in december and got a 28, so I'm trying to get it up. What is the best book for me? Thanks!

How much did you prep for December? I’m just wondering because I took the test in December too without any prep and I got a 29, so I know I’m capable of getting a 31+…I just don’t know if I have time.

I may study and pace myself over the summer and then sign up for the Sept. or Oct. test. By then, if I don’t get a 34+, I’ll be disappointed.

Not sure because I’ve never prepped for the ACT, but I would get the Real ACT book and download the tests that the ACT put on their website. Someone on here likes recommending Cracking the ACT by PR. I have it, but honestly, I don’t think I could get through it in a week and retain what I need to retain.

Good luck. What score are you shooting for?

Thanks for your response coollege. I didn’t prep at all for december, so I’m hoping to get it up a point or two. I’m sure I will try to take it again after june but I still need to find something for next week.

I’d recommend just finding a strategy that WORKS FOR YOU, not what books suggest. Also, you don really need to “study” for the ACT since you should probably know all the math and grammar already, so take a couple practice tests and TIME YOURSELF.
