I can type pretty fast on the storm faster than i could type on the iphone

Ya maybe...but nothing else is better lol

the storm has better battery life

I wouldn't say that...when I don't use my phone as an ipod almost all day, the battery life can last 2 1/2 days. The sleep mode saves a lot of battery.

It does actually have better battery life

I'm not exactly sure if your site's data is accurate. Apple's website claims that one can get 8 hours of talk time from the iPhone 3G, and that's about as long as my iPhone lasts during calls so I'd say 8 hours is about right. Apple's website also claims that you can get 16 hours of iPod audio playback on one charge, and my iPhone gives me that amount. As for web browsing, Apple's site claims you can get 5 hours on a single charge. Using wifi my iPhone, I believe, gets more than five hours, but using a cellular network seems to get closer to four hours. I guess they averaged the cellular and wifi times together.

I don't really know, though, why, when one is never far away from an outlet, people seem to act like battery life is an incredibly important aspect. As long as the battery can last you a full day of normal activity, battery shouldn't be a deal-breaker. If you can find nothing better about the Storm than the iPhone than battery life, I'd still pick the iPhone. Especially since the battery in the iPhone, regardless of what your site says, seems to last me longer than how long that site says the Storm lasts.

mpicz, I agree! It's all down to that magic real time spellchecker - I just can't seem to misspell things on my iPhone! Or I can type in "yjr" and it still knows I meant to type "the." I haven't yet tried typing on a Storm - but, to be honest, I've never seen one in real life. iPhones are extremely popular at my school and so are expensive, powerful phones in general but I have never, ever seen a Storm at my school.

Other than the iphone I really can't tell the difference between all these other imposters. There all the same to me...I mean everyone pretty much copied the touch screen aspect of the phone, yet no one can make anything better.

I probably have seen a storm and not known it...If its a touch screen and not an iphone I just kinda think they wasted there money on an expensive phone. I like my iPhone...especially the iPod/Phone/1,000 cool applications aspect of it.

Yeah dude, apps completely sealed the deal for me. I NEVER get bored when I have my iPhone with me (which, by the way, may as well be surgically attached to my body).

I agree with you, mpicz - I see all this Samsonic and Sony-Ericssonokia crap floating around that all call themselves iPhone killers but all you have to do is look at them to be able to tell that they'll just flop. A lot of them actually cost more money than the iPhone because they're not good enough or well-known enough to have their networks subsidize them as AT&T does with the iPhone.

The iphone wasn't even the first touch screen phone the LG prada phone came out 6 months before it

The storm is way different from all the samsung and whatever stuff anyways because its a blackberry and I have the itouch for my music and everything so I really don't need an iphone

And plus verizon is way better than AT&T

The iPhone, though, had already been in development for three years. At least according to Steve Jobs, and I don't think a man in his position would be lying. The Prada was a bit of a joke because it originally cost $600 purely because it had a cheap Prada logo on it. It also wasn't the first- there had been quite a few other, less popular stylus-operated touchscreen phones, even several years before the Prada. Notice, also, how no one else was seriously interested in the concept of a touchscreen phone until the iPhone. This was probably because Apple executed it so beautifully and other companies saw that such near perfection was possible. Of course, none of them have yet come close to the style, ease of use, practicality, and popularity of the iPhone. I challenge you to find a phone that more people want.

Why would you buy the storm and the iPod touch? I'm sure the storm has a music player and decent storage, or you could have just gone with like a 16 gig iPhone... iPod and smartphone rolled into one.

Is verizon better than AT&T? I wouldn't know. In the UK the iPhone is sold on O2, which I personally love. Great price, coverage, unlimited Internet, and they always are offering discounted concert tickets to their customers so that suits me just fine. But honestly I think network choice and preference is a personal thing. Everyone has their own preferences and when it comes down to it it's about what network suits you best.

Oh, and I love his this thread deviates from topics so quickly. It was only recently we were talking about cosmetics.

I've had the itouch for like a year and I got the storm because its a blackberry and once you go blackberry you never go back :) I love blackberries and for a phone there aren't any that are better but for music the itouch is the best the storm has a pretty good music player but it isn't the same

And here the iphone is kind of old pretty much everyone already has one like half of my teachers have them like a couple days ago I was in math and we were getting a class period before our 4th period semester exam to "study" and we were showing our teacher which apps to get because he wanted more games

Everyone has one cuz its the best and you can do almost anything with it lol. And its not old....it seems old because all this fake crap is coming out trying to "compete" with it.

No its like almost 2 years old I used to have the iphone but the storm is better but that's just because blackberry makes the best phones ever

And plus the typing is amazing on this so if you are texting people its so much easier the iphone is better if you want games but I'd rather have the itouch and the storm than the iphone

And about the apps the storm is only like a month and a half old the apps store isn't going to open until march the iphone didn't have that many apps when it first came out

The 3g came out summer of 2008.

Yeah but the first iphone came out the summer of 2007
