Is getting invited to the Best of Texas tour a prestigious thing? How many people go / is it something worth doing?
@ubetta17 , this is what I wrote on a similar BoT thread on CC:
@ecejb0001 , it’s not just for Honors students. It is for the high achievers, which by your stats would include you. Congratulations. It is very similar to an all (most of) day campus visit, but with others who were accepted, that have or have not yet accepted UT’s offer. My LHS had already accepted UT’s offer, but not having much interaction with the campus til then, we used as an opportunity to see the campus again, especially the dorms. If it’s easy for you to attend, I think it was worth it.
My LHS is in LAH, so we had the chance to meet his advisers and he got to meet with other students accepted into LAH, as well as upper class men in LAH. I can’t remember if you’re in an Honors program, but you’ll get to meet your peers in CNS. If you have lots of questions or want to hear others, it’s worth going. I’m not sure it’s worth it to those that would have to travel a long distance, if cost is a factor.
