<p>We're any other seniors on here invited to the Best of Texas Weekend this Friday and Saturday? I applied pretty soon after getting the letter, and sent in my forms early. I know the due date was Friday, and am wondering when they'll send the confirmations to the selected students. </p>
<p>Has anyone heard? I'm just trying to plan my week and notify teachers of tests I'll miss if I do end up going!</p>

<p>My son is not an auto-admit. But he did receive the invitation for Best of Texas Weekend. He does have very good SAT scores and is doing IB.</p>
<p>Does the invitation imply that UT is likely to admit him? Thanks for any insights.</p>
<p>I actually have no idea how they chose invitees, but I’d guess SAT scores! I got a 2800, but am not an automatic admit. </p>
<p>I’m no expert, but it sure seems likely that they’re trying hard to get us to choose Texas, since they’re investing so much money and time into these students. It’s a good bet they’ll admit these students, from my view, whatever it’s worth.</p>
<p>Do you mean a 2400? …If so, congrats on the perfect score. And my bet is that since they are investing their time and money on this special event for a few select candidates, they will offer the first batch of admissions during the camp. Some of my friends last year were invited to a special dinner, and everyone at the dinner got their intent of admission letter. Either way, it’s nothing bad by all means. Class of 2017 ftw!</p>

<p>Got accepted! The local admissions center called and let me know I was accepted. I have to be there at 4 AM. Yikes.</p>
