I'm an avid study hacks reader and ever since I implemented Cal's suggestion for using Google Calendar my life seems simplified. It was definitely a better change from paper planners. However, it is sometimes difficult for me to remember what I had to do on my calendar and its inconvenient to turn on a computer from one of the labs at school or if I'm carrying my laptop on me.

So my question is should I invest in a smart phone or a PDA? I'd need something with wi-fi so I check my calendar on google, but I really don't want to have to sync my computer and pda everytime I add something. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I just use a spiral-bound planner I bought from Staples. No downtime and no syncing required. Your trouble is exactly why I don't use an electronic organizer.

I used a spiral-bound planner when I was in school too for the same reasons. If you get a PDA, why would you need something with wifi since your calendar would be stored on the device itself? You wouldn't need google calendars.

It's because Google calendar is way more user friendly than all of the calendar apps I've used. Also, I have used paper planners and using a web based calendar is less of a hassle when I need to modify something or give me an idea of how my month or week will go. Personally for me, using paper planners doesn't allow me to organize myself as smoothly.
