I got into the pharmacy program in USp, and also applied to the pharmacy programs at long island university and st.johns, but have not heard from them yet. Anyone know out of these three, which has the best pharmacy school based on the teaching, area, the program, and job offers?

My son is thinking about Pharmacy, hes a junior now. What other schools did you apply to? What are you stats? Did you apply to any other majors in case you didn't get into a pharmacy program?

It doesn't matter if you want to be a pharmacist at a drug store. It's all the same. If you want to work for a pharma company doing clinical trials then yes, your school matters.

well i applied to uconn, purdue, temple, rutgers, and university of rhode island. I got into all of them, but did not get into the pharm programs at rhode island and rutgers. My stats are not that great. I have a 3.0 unweighted gpa and 1330 sat scores and some after school activities. My majors were prepharmacy or chem, if i did not get into the programs. It kinda of sucks because i wanted to explore other options, but im binded to a science field.

I'm surprised you didn't get into the pharm program at Univ Of Rhode Island. Your sats were right in line for them. Did you take any honors or ap classes? Which college are you leaning towards?

yeah, i was kind of dissapointed in not getting into the pharm program at uri, but they offered me a significant scholarship. I took ap history junior year, and am taking ap bio senior, which is really difficult. I'm not sure which schools im leaning toward, which is why i posted on this board, but no one really seems to give me any detailed advice. I think USP is probably a better school than LIU, but truthfully i really do not want to go to a school with only sciences. I would prefer to have a college with other majors too, incase i want to explore my horizons, but my parents would prefer if i went to USP.
