so I'm looking to buy some prep books off amazon for the regular SAT. i already have the BB but I'm looking for more than that.

The college board book is the best you can get because it is the closest to the actual test, since it’s obviously made by college board. Princeton review is known to be harder so that’s also good practice. Kaplan an mcGraw Hill are not very good. Get the newest version of collegeboard and ask around for any older versions

BB is the best for practice tests. You can get Barrons 2400 for CR and writing, Grubers or Dr. Chungs for math, and Direct Hits for vocab.

collegeboard is only good for practice tests, which i suggest you use near the end of your preparation.

what about for learning/strategies for CR and math. i know about the practice tests already

may i know your original score? on any recent tests?

Dr Chung can do that for you. If you want third party sources for math. Definitely.

lets just say the first attempt wasnt so good… second time, i only prepared for math, nothing else, and got 660CR 690M (:/) 640W. I know I am capable of achieving 2150 or even higher, it’s just dumb mistakes and time management.

Read the RR, Official Study guide to SAT, Grubers, PR, etc… Occasionally take a test to see how far you have progress. Save the real tests till the absolute end. D1 saved all the BB tests until the last time. She consistently scored in the 2300+ before she attempted a real test.

Gruber’s for Math - once you’re getting a steady 650 get Dr. Chungs (for the 800)
Direct Hits - Sentence Completion for Critical Reading Section
Sparknotes - writing section was my best study guide and helped me get a great score
