Best Programs at Connecticut College

It seems to me there's no good source on the internet that clearly explains what academic programs a school is known for/what academic programs are best at a given school. Thus, I've turned to forums like College Confidential to find this information, but its rarely all too accurate or usable.

So I guess I have two questions.
1. What academic programs are best at Connecticut College? I don't really care about which majors are the most popular.
2. Is there a place on the web that provides clear information about schools' individual academic programs?

Thanks for any help you can offer

See if you can find a copy of “Choosing the Right College.” It reviews the academic curriculum and programs of many selective colleges and universities. I believe they’ve added some public universities in the new guide. It’s written by two very conservative authors who have an interest in the preservation of a balanced curriculum concerning western civilization, religion and political viewpoints. If you’re fairly liberal (which I am) take it with a grain of salt; they have a website.

My daughter is early in to her Conn journey, but thus far she’s been thrilled with the professors in the French department. In fact, while she went in firmly thinking she would major in government, she is now thinking seriously about majoring in French. For what it’s worth her advisor is also a French professor, and she has really appreciated his performance in that role as well. Good luck!
