I'd like to have a better idea of what career paths in medicine might best suit my interests before I begin; I know that things may change as I progress, but as an nontraditional student, I want to have as much information as I can before I start.

At this point, I think I'm interested in, in general:
- general practitioner/internal medicine
- anti-aging medicine
- innovations in medicine (e.g., use of Big Data in medicine, medical device innovation)
- psychiatry

I know that these are all over the map, but they are some things that call to me in the process of researching whether or not this is something I'd like to do.

Other than shadowing, interviews, etc., what might be some ways to figure out which of these would be a good focus for me. Any books on the subject? Anyone else interested in the same things?
