Title says it all. What's the best review book for AP Art History? I've heard REA as well as Barron's are both superb, but I don't wish to purchase both.

REA is the best

CC'ers recommend something else I can't remember at the moment.

Well I was reading on CC and one topic tended to praise REA. I didn't see any other input other than a few notes about Barron. The CC list recommends The Annotated Mona Lisa, but I heard it was horrible in comparison to those two.

definitely REA

The Annotated Mona Lisa. (or something like that?)

REA is better, Mr. Manghi.

What is REA? As in, what is the full name?

Research & Education Association

i've seen "the annotated mona lisa" around here a lot

... that's because that's what people used before APAH review books came out.

I bought Barron's, and it did me well. I don't like looking at pictures in such a small book, it's not my thing. I would suggest Barron's.

barron's had too much junk in it that was unneccessary, go with REA

i think if you want to be thoroughly prepared Barron's is your best bet...it's definitely an overpreparation though and i like how they have the pics in the actual book on not on a CD like REA
REA is easier to read (i liked it better) but i thought i memorized it but i didn't get a 5

does anyone have the CB 2004 AP Art history test? i'm willing to trade for it :]

Barron's for more condensed information
REA is for more readable

yeah it helps a bit if you read the annotated mona lisa and the annotated arch

i would def get the annotated mona lisa and maybe skim through it once or twice but i wouldn't depend on it (it's very general)
it's nice for some quit review minutes before the exam though
