so i will be a freshman this fall at either UH or Tech, as a freshman should i try and complete all the indicator courses? or should i just get the 30hours and do an internal transfer?

i am probably goin to take 1 or 2 classes this summer (english or calculus or history), i read through the transfer thread; it seems like if i can get atleast a 3.5 i have a good shot at Liberal Arts.

i am leaning towards the internal transfer route, and if i cant get into Mccombs after my 2nd year just goin somewhere else.

this is no flame or hate thread
----> So only reply if you are offering advice

An internal transfer is one between colleges for students already enrolled at UT. Coming into UT from another school is not an internal transfer.

I recommend going to community college and doing all the indicator courses you can if you know you’re transferring to UT. It’s much easier to get a 4.0, and you’ll save money.

I think you should get the highest GPA possible for McCombs and transfer right into McCombs, rather than getting into Liberal Arts first and then McCombs. It seems like a waste of time, plus what’s your backup plan if you don’t get into McCombs?

pierrechn, I thought you were either already admitted or attending UT? I’ve noticed that you’ve made hundreds of post in this forum, giving advice to current and admitted UT students.

Congratulations pierrechn, now you can be the preeminent expert on all that is A&M and College Station. I’m sure there are many future ags who need your guidance. Better hurry over to those threads!!

Best of luck to you over in Aggie-land! Whoop!

I would still try to shoot for McCombs from a community college. If you don’t get into McCombs, you can always get into UH for sure along with A&M. Go for indicator and core courses.
