Best SAT I Book Out There........

Hey guys, I posted a similar thread up not long ago, but not a whole lot of people replied to it. Any suggestions for a great SAT I prep book? I want to work on my "SAT skills" over the summer. :) Thanks!!!

I think most people can attest to the blue Official SAT book by Collegeboard to be the best in terms of material.

Nothing beats real tests.

Thanks robotFOOD. I've been hearing pretty much the same thing.

Does anyone have any other suggestions besides the Official Real SAT's Collegeboard book? How about Barron's or Princeton Review?

This is probably the most posted question.. if you search you will see that there is many post on this. Anyway, the problem with PR and Barrons is that one is harder than the SAT and one is easier. As a result none resemble the actual test.

Thank you, theinfocenter. How about Sparknotes? Unfortunately, that's the only one available at my local bookstore when I checked today.

www.sparknotes.com

IT'S FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

from what i have heard i think that sparknotes is decent. I have used sparknotes book s to study for SAT IIs and they have been good. Although, i do not know how they new sat book is.

Best of luck

i wouldn't recommend the sparknotes one simply because i got one for sat ii math iic and there were a bunch of typos in it and i got the same info from my princeton review book and my math book.

Bump........

I got Gruebers today. I haven't taken a full-length practice test, but from the exercises, the book is the most thorough i've ever seen. There are exercises on EVERYTHING. much more thorough than princeton review or kaplan. Its thicker than the blue cb book, and weighs a ton.

Barron's kick a**. Sure, the tests are hard, but if you focus on that book and get like a 1250 on those practices, you will be in great shape for the real SAT. Plus, it is REALLY comprehensive with a word list that really helped my vocab. (Memorized about 2500 of those words). Plus the math review is unbeatable.

Well that's the first time I hear someone mention Gruebers. Interesting... I should check that out.

From what I've heard, Barron's prep books are almost always harder than the actual tests. To some people, the "over-preping" seems to work.

Bump........

go to search titles, and type in "grammatix" -- i hear its amazing. i plan on buying a hardcopy very soon.. the stories are miraculous... or so it seems.

I heard good things about "Grammatix" as well. Too bad they don't have it available at my local bookstore.

wow reviews are super good

that came up when i searched Grammatix on amazon
