Best school for science major?

Which school is best for science majors, specifically biochemistry?

There are tons of top notch schools out there. So it may be eaiser if you limit what you are looking for.

What area of the country would you like the school to be in?
What can you afford?
What is your home state?
What are your stats (SATs/ACTs/GPA)?
Big school or small school?

And along with big school / small school comes: Does it have to be biochem, or can it be a major in one and a minor in the other?

Stanford, MIT, Johns Hopkins to name a few.

I do not want to spend a lot of money at undergrad because i would like to go to medical school or some type of graduate school in the future, so a college that is generous with financial aid would be a good match for me. I am in the northeast now, but I definetely want to move out of state, particularly the midwest or south. My gpa is 3.8 W, SATs 1800, retaking them.
