I wonder which are considered the best schools for a political science major, specifically in International Relations.

Also, on a practical level, what would this prepare the graduate for, aside from a job in government or academia?

Thanks for any insight.

Harvard is strong for political science studies, and Georgetown is strong in international relations studies.

GW and AU on a lower level, as well as Tufts and UChicago (primarily for poli sci, though).

most top schools have great political science programs, but, like silverturtle said, Georgetown School of Foreign Service (SFS) is very strong and particularly well known for its international relations.

Most ivy leagues, along with George Washington University and American University, Georgetown University.

Other universities:
University of Michigan
University of Minnesota
University of Wisconsin
University of Rochester
University of North Carolina
Boston University
New York University
and more!
