Best schools for Stem major?

A list of schools that are super strong in the sciences?

Thank you! ^▁^

hendrix college, lafayette college, muhlenberg college…tops for undergrad in the stems

Thank you!

Anyone else?

Williams Reed, Oberlin, Grinnell, Harvey Mudd, Rose Hulman.

Be more specific. There are a lot of sub-fields of “STEM”. Which ones are you considering? For biology Emory is one of the best schools in the nation, but is fairly weak in the physical sciences. Conversely, its next door neighbor, Georgia Tech, is excellent in the physical sciences and engineering but relatively weak in the biological sciences.

Before we can give you recommendations, we need to know your stats (GPA, ACT/ACT), financial constraints (know that schools can cost up to $60,000 a year), location preferences (region of country, urban, suburban, rural), size (small liberal arts college - giant state flagship), possible major, and if you’d prefer an environment where everyone is majoring in STEM fields (think MIT) or if people are majoring in diverse subjects (think Harvard). Also, do you have any must haves, or would like to have?

It depends on which specific major(s) you are interested in, as well as your post-graduation goals.

Obviously, academic qualifications and cost constraints are important in determining what schools you can get into and afford.

I haven’t taken any standardized tests yet (will take in about 2 to 3 weeks). My uw is a 3.9 and my w is a 4.51.
I want to major in Biology… I prefer schools in the Northeast, but any reputable school is good. I’m glad to hear that about Emory since I’m applying there. :3
As far as cost goes, I’d have to look at each school’s financial aid, lol.

Bump. 10 char

Look at the [Association of Independent Technological Universities: AITU](http://theaitu.org) universities. Engineering and science are their specialty…

Thank you!

Does anyone know if Cornell is good regarding Biology?
