Basically, I'm really not good at math/science, and most of the super-prestigious summer programs cater to those who are.
I'm open to anything, both university-hosted and study abroad. So far I've attended the Confucius Institute Summer Immersion (2011), and I just got accepted to Virginia Commonwealth University's STARTALK Russian program. I'm still waiting on the decision from the Virginia Governor's School Japanese Partial-Immersion program, and I'm also waiting for the CIEE applications to become available. This is kind of embarrassing, but I got rejected from NSLI-Y China this year, probably because I've already been to China with the Confucius Institute. (I'll try next year.)
My parents aren't willing to pay any money, unfortunately, so it has to be something free.
