<p>I just wanted opinions about the best SUNY for an Art major. </p>
<p>I know Fredonia, Purchase and New Paltz have pretty well known programs.</p>
<p>New Paltz is excellent for studio art majors if that is the direction you plan on going.</p>
<p>New Paltz. We visited and looked at UB, Geneseo, Oneonta, Brockport, Purchase, as well as a number of LAC. The studio art, as well as graphic design seems to be the best at NP. They have a great facility as well as a depth in courses offered. It is the only SUNY that offers BFA, as well as BA and BS in visual art. Fredonia is more well known for music studies than art.</p>
