Best time to do the SAT & ACT?

I am a sophomore right now, International by the way. I thought next year would be a good year to present these. Does anyone has advice on what month to do them? Maybe one months before the other? I don't know.
I'm not that familiar with the test, but I plan to study hard in the Summer.

Thanks! :)

Spring of your junior year. If you have not learned all of the math that is on either one wait until the last test date (June). Other then that just pick a time in the spring that will not be too stressful/hectic for you.

June junior year. I took subject tests one week and the ACT the next.

Whenever you feel most prepared :)

I took them January and February of my junior year, and I’m glad I did. I have a lot of stuff that’s coming down to it (AP tests, finals, sports) in the next month and it’d just be that much worse to have the ACT and SAT on top of that.

A teacher at my school told us we need to take it as close to Algebra II as possible.

November/December of your Junior year is a good time. That way if you bomb it, you’ll have 2 more test dates before senior year.

in the afternoon after your brain has warmed up.

Everyone says spring of junior year, but I took mine late fall of junior year and that worked really well. So much less pressure because you know there’s tons of possible dates left. Just make sure you study over the summer (as you said you plan to) because it’s so hard to do serious studying once school kicks in and you get overwhelmed.

Thank you all so much for the tips!
I’m definitely going to do it Junior Year. I’ll do it when I feel prepared as most of you guys said. Hopefully it’s soon! I just want to get it over with
Thanks again guys!

Im finishing pre-cal this year as a freshman and I’m planning to take the actual SAT in my sophmore year so I’ll have time for scoring high on my SAT subject tests and most importantly my APs…Since in junior year I guess you have the most difficult courses and on top of that you have sooooo many things to do…
