I was wondering, what are the best colleges to go to for an Economics major?

You can't go wrong with the ivies and top LAC's. Economics is a social science, not a business, so a school with a good liberal arts program generally means a good economics program.

University of Chicago tops the Ivies in economics

Princeton, MIT, UChicago, Harvard, and Stanford. In no order.

obviously, u chicago.

or princeton

U chicago all the way...

Wharton Wharton Wharton

i heard that if u go to wharton, u just get a diploma in economics; but economics is not actually a major designed for wharton students

Northwestern

How's carnegie mellon for economics?

Wharton at UPenn... it's an ivy, and you graduate with a BS in Economics.

yeah you graduate with BSE from Wharton but you don't study economics. You do basic econ theory with in depth applicational/practical work like finance, management, accouting, marketing, operations & information management, health care management, legal studies, entrepreneurship, business statistics, risk management, etc.

Wharton is NOT an economics program but rather and UG business program.

More like Havard and Chicago.
