Your rankings really don't seem too different from the graduate rankings here: Network Rankings: All Economics

Is there really any difference in the quality of undergrad econ and graduate econ at a given school?

hey can anyone tell me more about Smith and Union's economics program and how they compare? Sincere thanks

Where does Rice University's econ program rank nationally?

I don't think you can rank undergraduate Economics departments. In terms of overall quality, Rice's Economics department is not quite among the very best (Columbia, Cornell, Michigan, Northwestern, Penn, UCLA etc...), but it is still excellent (on par with Georgetown, Vanderbilt and WUSTL).

I took 3 econ classes at Northwestern and they were all excellent! It wasn't easy and I managed to get B+ in all of them. I liked econ but I had this stupid thought that it just wasn't for me since I didn't get any A/A- in 3 tries! Looking back, I wish I majored in it.

hey, i was wondering how southern cal's economics program rates. Also, for a career at wall street investment banking, would majoring in economics at usc be a good stepping stone?

41st according to USN

Chicago whatsoever in Econ!!! so regretting not applying there!

i’m glad i did. 8-)

Yeah Chicago is definetly the best in economics tied with Harvard and

yeah Chicago is the best in economics. Also could you rank me the following economic programas, from the following univerisities and if you can describe them a litlte if you know:

Thanks for the help guys

Could anyone give me a comparison re: economics, math and undergrad business? I know at Northwestern, undergrad business consists of Kellogg certificate earned by taking a few courses

thanks

I am so depressed now, because I have just enrolled in RICE, It’s a good school and I love it, but its economics major just s**ks…

Rice econ, by no means, sucks. It’s actually really tough, and the Mathematical Economic Analysis program is one of very few in the entire country. In fact, ECON 211 (the intro course) is probably one of the most infamous courses in the entire School of Social Sciences… I know many econ majors who were forced to drop out and retake it the following semester because it was that challenging. Sure, you may not want to go to Rice for a MA or PhD in Econ, but it’s very very very solid and well-respected for undergrad.

University of Maryland vs Pitt vs. Northeastern for Econ

How does Trinity University in San Antonio stack up in terms of econ?

How would you compare Rutgers Economics to some of the greatest in the country?

hey guys…just wanted to ask about the average salaries of economic graduates from top LACS and other good economic programs.

At this point in time, I would say the mid 50% salary for Economics majors graduating from top LACs and universities is in the $45,000-$65,000/year (basic salary) and the average is probably around $55,000.
