Sorry if this topic is cliche, but, it's a question that I would really enjoy hearing opinions to.

What would be the best dorm for a first year engineering student? Is it worth it to apply for honors living?

Creekside :D

Jester [Academic Community Center in Jester West - Cockrell School of Engineering](<a href=“Undergraduate Education”>Undergraduate Education)
and Kinsolving [Academic Community Center in Kinsolving - Cockrell School of Engineering](<a href=“Undergraduate Education”>Undergraduate Education) have organized Engineering study groups
Jester also has an Engineering Advising office.

I live in Duren and am a freshman engineering student. It’s a great location for all the engineering classes, less than 5-min walk. And I wouldn’t recommend creekside unless you REALLY want to live with all guys, because i know a few people who live there and don’t particularly enjoy it. Duren is also a quieter dorm because we have private bathrooms so studying isn’t a problem at all.

Honors, Duren, Kinsolving (if you’re a girl) or Whitis. All are located on the northern side of campus which is where the engineering buildings are.
