So I just got my results for the ACT and received a 28 on the math section. I've been scoring a consistent 28-29 on practice tests as well, so the score isn't a surprise. Math is, and has always been, my favorite subject, and I'm able to pick up pretty much anything related to it quite quickly. I'm a Junior and only in Honors Algebra 2 as I never had the chance to get ahead due to moving.

Has anyone taken their high 20s math score into the 30s? It's typically my worse section (sadly an outlier science score hurt me this time) and although I have been studying through books (Barron's ACT 36) and sparknotes, I haven't really seen much in the way of improvements. I take it again in April and do have sufficient time to study for it, just not a plan I can really invest in. Thanks in advance!

Just KEEP practicing! I went from a 26 in math in September 2013 to a 32 in math in December 2013. Here’s a site that goes over a lot of real math ACT questions.
