I am planning to self-study these few AP's this year because my school doesn't offer them or I don't have enough time to take the courses. Has anyone else self-studied any for any of these tests before? How was it? How did you study? Thanks!

I am planning on self-studying AP Human Geography and AP Environmental Science this year. From what I’ve found out and what I would personally recommend, getting a textbook relevant to the topic and also a prep book as a supplement is the way to go. Look at the College Board’s list of recommended textbooks for each topic and get one cheap, as well as a solid prep book. Here is what I’ll be going with:

AP Environmental Science: Princeton Review, REA Crash Course (prep books), [ Friedland, Andrew, Rick Relyea and David Courard-Hauri. Environmental Science for AP ] for a textbook.

AP Human Geography: Barron’s (prep book), [ Rubenstein. The Cultural Landscape: An Introduction to Human Geography ] for a textbook. I will let you know how this works out, and best of luck to you as well.
