I haven't taken the PSAT or SAT yet, but I'd like to get a head start on preparation. I haven't done any prep yet. I'm currently a Sophomore and will be taking the PSAT next fall, followed by the SAT.

So, how can I best start to prepare? I can't take classes, but otherwise I'm open to things.

Also, if it's useful, my PLAN score was 28.

bump. Help please!

Buy The Official SAT Study Guide and the Princeton Review Cracking the SAT.

do as many practice tests as you can. also learn tons of vocab...

Well it depends a lot on your specific needs/cicrumstances.... like at the posts by Xiggi

Anyways, I'd recommend Cracking the SAT (Princeton Review) for some basic strategies

Barron's, Rocket Review, and Grubers are generally the most recommended books to review concepts, but the blue book (official SAT guide by college board) is the only must have.... Basically, you need to review the concepts make sure you understand them, and then do a lot of practice tests, to better learn the test.

Okay, so sounds like the blue book is where I should start.

Honestly, I'm pretty enthusiastic about my chances. I'm generally a good test taker and I almost never forget concepts.

Thanks for the help guys!
