So I'm really quite embarrassed at my dismal score (680) on the May Bio-M Subject Test, especially since I studied SO much for this since I took AP Bio this year. It's so frustrating to know that freshman get 800s in Bio-M ... anyways ...

I did the Bio subject test from the CB Subject Test book. But what other books should I use to prep for the Bio-M exam in June? I really need a 780+ because I really want to major in one of the sciences in college.

books i used to study for the may subject test were barron's ap bio book and cliffs ap bio.

would GREATLY and GENUINELY appreciate any help. many thanks!

I’m also taking the Bio SAT II next week
and I’ve been wondering the same thins (but i didn’t take AP bio yet)

and I asked a friend who got a 790 on her bio
and she told me to just keep doing practice tests once you’ve studied and know pretty much everything.

Also the Barron’s Reagent test book is really helpful because it has a lot of random questions and very detailed answer explanations.

hope this helped
and good luck!

I just used Kaplans Sat Bio book and took those practice tests, the spark notes tests online and the official one. granted the max score on the practice tests for me was a 740 but i somehow pulled off an 800 on the real deal

that’s really good!
you must be very smart. :)

do you think kaplan prac tests are similiar to the real ones?

^thanks but i think it was sheer luck more than anything. from what i remember, kaplan tests were much harder i only got 600’s on those. but the kaplan review is very comprehensive… there wasn’t anything on the test that wasn’t in kaplan and it sure beats barrons in terms of conciseness :)

how do you study the experimental questions?

I’m weak on non-memorization, lab questions…
