I’m taking the exam June 2nd, and am taking AP Bio right now. Which prep books/study methods would you recommend, and how soon (if not immediately) should I start preparing?
bump?
I am currently studying Barron’s. I am wondering, within the book there are many names of scientists attached to various theories/experiments. Is this just extra info, or would you need to know these names?
I would definitely recommend reading up on eye and ear diagram.
I recommend Barron and I just prepped after AP Bio exam was done.
Hey BallPoinkPen Can you please help me in one thing ?
@DieFreiheitWeht The name of the scientists are unnecessary on the Bio SAT II(never seen a question on it) only on the Living Environment Regents.
@mp12345 I recommend Barrons and start studying now!!! You have 3 weeks!!!
Is studying Barron’s alone enough? How similar are the practice tests in the back of Barron’s to the actual biology subject sat?
@mp12345, How did the test go? Any helpful advice for future test takers?
@ChezCurie I just got my score back and it was a 780, which I think is alright- I thought barron’s was the same difficulty as the actual test (not too difficult). I studied the week of the test with just the barron’s book (I had a late AP exam the week before), and took 2 of the practice tests in the barron’s book. I’d studied for the AP bio exam a few weeks before, so I think that probably helped.
Congrats @mp12345 I myself got a 750 without any Biology courses in school. You might want to start prepping for any other SATs that you have in mind and don’t wait last minute and procrastinate.
Congrats, @mp12345. A 780 is an amazing score!!! And, thanks for the tips about the barron’s book.
