Hey all,
Just a quick question. Im looking to raise my SAT score a good 100 points and I was just wonerdering what you guys think is the best way to do so. Any advice/comment is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Try looking at the xiggi method above, it works for a lot of people.

Practice from the CB blue book.

What does CB stand for

collegeboard

Buy the red and blue book. Most people also suggest buying RocketREview and Grammatix.

www.acethesat.com

What are the strong points of Rocket Review and, in contrast, what are the strong points Grammatix?
For instance, should one of them be used for CR and the other for Math...?

How you should study depends on your current score. In my opinion, the best way to study is to use the book of practice tests put out by the College Board along with the common sense "Xiggi method" of taking the tests in a stress-free way and reviewing your answers so that you learn from them.

Grammartix is known to be very strong in the Writing/Critical Reading Sections of the SAT.

They say Grammatix is awesome for CR and Wr. RocketReview is all around good, but since Grammatix lacks the M, that's what you use it for.

Oh, also, when you start working on the past tests and see which ones you miss, you see your weak points. WORK on these weak points!

grubers is very strong for math tips. it also has these "refresher sections" where it shows you how to actually do the math.

any body have a link to the grammatix? i may be missing something, but i don't see it on amazon. the search yeilds only rocket review and grubers.

Grammatix is only sold through www.AceTheSAT.com. The author doesn't use Amazon or Barnes and Noble or anything. There was a huge thread on this book a short while ago. You can find it by looking back a couple pages. It's called "Grammatix".

I like PR's book, Cracking the SAT. The shortcuts they teach can easily bring your score up 100 points.

rook - It really depends on which section(s) you want to improve on. For example, if you need to improve primarily in math, then Gruber's may do you good. But its CR section is practically nonexistent. What are you looking for?

I mainly need to improve my CR score. Im at about a 680 for math so I think I could easily bring that to a 700 depending on the day but I need most of the help in the CR.
